Glory House Catering web site
Since 2000, this well-known Irving company has catered every imaginable event across the DFW Metroplex — from corporate meetings to wedding receptions and private parties. In addition, Glory House serves a popular weekday Bistro lunch buffet and Sunday brunch at its historic Main Street location in the Irving Heritage District.
Owner Jo Ann Goin is an active member of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce, and updates of her civic activities are posted on the site. Glory House Catering has been named Blue Ribbon Winner of the National Small Business Award — chosen by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce — in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011!
The web site describes services, offers photo galleries of past events, and provides several reservation and request forms that simplify the process of arranging catering or reception services. Regular tweets are displayed on the site, informing patrons of the daily menu offers at the Bistro. The site uses responsive design to display appropriately on smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktops.
FigDesign also refreshed Glory House branding with a series of seasonal logos. The 'O' in the word 'Glory' provides a perfect spot to highlight events throughout the year. For instance, the 'O' becomes a wreath during the Christmas season, a heart at Valentines Day, and a flower at Mothers Day. This simple graphic device keeps the company up-to-date visually and attracts more attention than a static logo.
Glory House commissioned an iPhone app from Elemental Methods, another Irving Chamber member company. FigDesign provided creative direction and graphics for the app, available in the iTunes Store.
